Alvaston Park

We’ve worked with local communities to create a safe and secure space for you to be active. Our PlayZone, is a floodlit facility with a Tarmacadam surface (hard-court) suitable for basketball, netball and other sports and 3G (artificial grass pitch, made with plastic blades of grass) suitable for football.

As part of the initial work in setting up the PlayZone at Alvaston Park, we are running for a short time only a testing period, as part of this, you are welcome to book a free session on the courts and we ask that you provide feedback on the information on the booking system through to accessing the courts.  Please feedback to parks@derby.gov.uk  

Once opened officially, the courts will be open 7 days a week; 9am to 9pm and following this period  paid for sessions which you can book online.  For a long term booking please contact Derby City Council who operate this site: parks@derby.gov.uk 

The PlayZone was funded by the Premier League, The FA, Government’s Football Foundation and Derby City Council, with the aim to bring communities together through football and a whole range of sports and physical activities.
