How can I access the PlayZone?

We've introduced online booking for the PlayZone, which you can do via the 'Booking' tab. Once you've made your booking, you will receive a 4-digit PIN, which you'll need to use to enter.


How far in advance can I book the PlayZone?

The PlayZone is bookable up to 14 days in advance. Regular bookings and special request via SportsDevelopment@northumberland.gov.uk

How can I make a recurring booking?

To make a recurring/block booking, Email SportsDevelopment@northumberland.gov.uk Our team will be able to go through the facility's availability and then help you to make and pay for your booking.


What footwear can I use?

Flat soled trainers MUST be worn within the PlayZone. Moulded and metal studs and astroturf trainers are not suitable for use in our PlayZone.


What if I need to change a booking?

You can make ammendments to your booking in the 'View My Bookings' tab. 

Alternatively, our team can be contacted through SportsDevelopment@northumberland.gov.uk. Note response times can be up to 2 working days.


What is your refund policy?

To receive a refund, you must cancel more than 24 hours in advance of your booking.


What should I do if my gate PIN doesn't work?

Step 1) Double check you have entered the correct PIN

Step 2) Make sure you're not inputting your code too early - it'll only work up to 10 minutes before your booking starts.

What are my responsibilities?

This PlayZone is managed by Northumberland County Council and these facilities are for the community and local people. It is our shared responsibility to take the best care of the courts. 

  • Please ensure that no bikes / prams / other wheeled modes of transportation are used on the courts. Except the use of Wheelchairs
  • No dogs, or other pets are allowed on the courts. 
  • No vaping / smoking is allowed on the courts and the area around the courts is no smoking.
  • Please ensure that you are wearing the correct footwear, take away your rubbish, or put it in the nearby bin. 
  • Please also report any issues with the Playzone to SportsDevelopment@northumberland.gov.uk

Accessibility

The PlayZone is open to all users and fully accessible. 

No animals, other than guide dogs or assistance dogs are permitted on the courts. 


Open Access

We have allocated specific times in the day that the PlayZone will be open access, meaning that they cannot be booked at those times (other than special requests) and anyone wanting to use the  facility during the dedicated hours is welcome to do so. This may mean sharing the court with other users/groups, so please be considerate and courteous when using the space.
