Grant Thorold PlayZone

Grant Thorold PlayZone Facility is the first of its kind in North East Lincolnshire. The PlayZones Programme aims to enage with local communities to create outstanding sports and activity spaces and tackle inequalities in participation. It is a safe and secure space for members of the community to come and enjoy playing sports and be physically active.

Community engagement is at the heart of the PlayZone. Facilities are designed in partnership with local communities to ensure that the final design and surface works for football and other sports and activities identified for that area. The community input into the management of the space through a local steering group.

This is a floodlit facility which features a hard court surface suitable for Football, Basketball, Fitness Classes and other sports.

During the first month or so of opening the PlayZone facility will be open:

• Monday to Saturday  | 9am - 10pm 
• Sunday | 9am - 8pm 

The facility is operated by Shalom Youth Centre which can be found next to the PlayZone on Rutland Street.
